Summer is over. It was a wonderful time for us all in Summer School, but now it’s
time to get back to work. I really hope that everyone enjoyed taking some time to be
together with their family and make some summer memories together. It can be more
of a challenge these days, but making treasured memories with your family is just as
important as ever. As the students prepare for a new semester and new challenges
I am really thrilled by the prospect of seeing them develop upon their progress from
the first semester.
Fall is ahead of us and it can feel like the biggest and longest of the three seasons.
The teachers and students have found their stride and they are challenged to
accomplish a lot in class. Fall brings a lot of events with it and the students should be
mindful of that when they plan for their studies. There is a lot to do, but I am sure that
everyone is up to it. Hopefully, the students will be finishing their homework,
preparing for their spelling tests, reading lots of books, and tending to their
notebooks. With such a busy time I really want to encourage all of the students to
continue to put their best effort and attitude into their studies. Let’s try our best and
have a fun time learning together!
As we shake off the relaxed summer feeling we have lots of things to look forward
to. The terrible heat has started to disappear and is replaced by a pleasant coolness.
The leaves are changing color and falling to the ground all around us. As we enjoy the
sweet potatoes and chestnuts and look forward to Thanksgiving and Halloween, I
hope that we can all really enjoy the feeling of being together that fall brings with it.
Finally, I hope you had a lovely summer, and welcome back to school. Let’s all put
our best foot forward and approach the fall semester with energy and optimism. May
your every day be full of laughter and new lessons.
Best of luck,
Thomas MacLeod
